Tanach Teacher Training and Resources

HaKivun’s Tanach curriculum focuses on introducing the larger picture, not just the details. It provides an understanding of the theme of each sefer, and guides teachers to build each lesson as a part of it. Teachers learn to prepare a plan for teaching a whole sefer in each academic year by combining iyun, and bekius on a deep conceptual level. The emphasis is on turning classes into a guided discovery, as well as conveying fundamental, relevant and positive messages.

Students develop an appreciation for the truth and wisdom of Torah, and learn to view the world, the Jewish nation and their own life though a Torah lens.

Training for the Tanach program is required.

The Tanach Program provides teachers with the knowledge and skills that will transform Tanach lessons into life-altering experiences. Tanach training  includes, among other things:

  • an understanding  of the theme of each sefer
  • how to prepare a lesson plan for completing an entire sefer in a year by combining iyun, and bekius on a deep conceptual level
  • turning classes into a guided discovery
  • conveying fundamental, relevant and positive messages
